CHAMPAGNE CHÂTEAU DE BLIGNY BLANC DE BLANCS
Built in 1773 by the Marquis de Dampierre on the foundations of a medieval castle, the Château de Bligny is distinguished by its unique architecture. It is also now the only area of champagne to bear the appellation « Château ».
- Terroir: Located not far from the Cistercian Abbey of Clairvaux on Côte des Bars, the estate extends over 20 hectares.
- Vinification: Made in the traditional way, this Champagne Blanc de Blancs is assembled exclusively from Chardonnay.
The “Château” appellation refers to a wine that is integrally produced with grapes of one appellation area. This mention is particularly important in France and aims at informing and protecting the consumers.
